Lately the parents don't really see to much of each other and the mom Krista finally took her daughters to stay with her at Skagit Harbor, and when they see the little cabin they absolutely love it. All of the neighbors are really nice and friendly to each other and their mom wishes that she could buy this other little cabin and that has 3 acres along with it. But Krista says that she cannot afford that little cabin, and Francesca thinks in her head and thinking that her dad has money so why doesn't her mom use that money to buy that cabin for herself. When Francesca sees the little cabin of her moms she starts to feel a little clausterphobic, and thinks about their enormous home back in Yarrow Heights.

What is happening now is that it's fourth of july and Francesca's dad Reid got invited up to one of his friends' cabin in the woods for the weekend. She thought that her mom Krista was going to come along to but she found out that her mom had cancelled on her and that her mom was staying at skagit harbor. Francesca got another surprise that day too. She had thought that her family and this other family would be the only ones up there, but when she got there it was like a mini hotel to her and there was many family's there. Her dad introduced them like they were really rich and famous.

This book is really good and in the chapters Francesca's mom and dad are hardly ever home, and her mom found a little spot at a lake called skagit harbor and she goes up there every so often and will stay up there for three or four days. Her dad is always gone on business trips and comes home when he is done with them and even at that he is only home for a few days until he leaves on another business trip.

chapter 2 and 3

In chapter 2 freaky green eyes's father reid pierson was home for the night and the mother wasn't home because she was in some other town for a book fair that she loves going to. The night that she was gone reid, freaky green eyes whose name is francesca, her sister samantha, and her brother todd were all there at the house for a celebration night because her dad promoted. In this chapter you get to see the real side of francesca's dad and that side is controlling, he always trys to control his family and their life. In Chapter 3 the mom is home now it is not a very long chapter, but when the mom came home, her and her husband kinda got into a fight. The mom wanted to just stay home with her daughters while reid went to the banquet that he was suppose to go to that night and he wanted her to go to the banquet to, so that he wouldn't look bad in front of everybody. So he started yelling at her and saying stuff like "if you don't want to go with me to this, then why did you even marry me." he started making her feel really bad, and not letting her do what she wants to do and instead she is doing what he wants her to do.

chapter one

In the first chapter, there was this girl who was fourteen and her mom and dad were house guests at someone's house and she went to a party with one of the girls that lived there. When she got there all of the people that was with her left her and went off on their own, this girl felt really inconfident, and felt like everyone was staring at her in a bad way. Then she met this guy and they started talking to each other and he went and got her a beer, and after awhile they went and started dancing on the floor and she regained her confidence because everyone was looking at her in a good way. He took her to a room and started kissing her and touching her everywhere and when she sobered up she realized what was happening, and started telling him to get off of her and he said no, she then kneed him in the groin, and that is how she got the name freaky green eyes, was from him. She got away from him and ran all the way home to where she was staying about a mile away from the party, she was so happy when she got home.
